Kylie & Adam ~ Maternity Session

I just saw on Facebook that Kylie and Adam’s son is now one year’s old. And then I double checked through my blogsite and Facebook page to see whether or not I had shared their maternity shots. Well, guess you know the answer to that :)

We shot this back in 2013 and whilst I had known and worked with Kylie back when she was based in Kuala Lumpur, it was my first time meeting her husband Adam in Perth. Seeing how much love these two have for each other and also how silly they would get was enough of an inspiration to fuel the whole session.

Spent a beautiful summer afternoon with these two parents-to-be and had a blast just shooting their antics as we traipsed around Fremantle.

And yes, I was still in town when lil Archie was born! Can’t wait to see this lil family again be it in Perth or Kuala Lumpur sometime soon :)

Julie & Jehan

“Love has no culture, boundaries, race and religion. It is pure and beautiful like early morning sunrise falling in lake ~ Santosh Kalwar”

Been meaning to share these photos for what seems like yonks. And then it hit me, it has been more than a year since their wedding! Their cosy wedding celebrations were held last April at Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur with family and close friends attending from all over the globe.

Yee Hong, the second photographer and I had the pleasure of capturing the festivities and I must say, it was indeed a memorable day witnessing the marriage of these two lovebirds from different cultures :) Here are some of my favourites from the day!

Ed & Katie ~ A Celebration

So it was a year ago, on summer solstice, that Ed and Katie celebrated their nuptials together with their family members and close friends in attendance. The church ceremony was held at St James Church in Harvington, near Katie’s parents home and their reception was held at Wootton Park, an absolute gorgeous venue, perfect for the festivities.

I still remember the day as if it was just a few months ago, the weather was beautiful with the sun shining and a slight cool breeze throughout the day. Yes, this was in the English countryside, which as far as I know would have erratic weather, but man, it was absolutely perfect that day.

The day before, family members had all chipped in and helped out with the venue decorations and whatever detail shots that you see in this post, well, they were all handmade by Ed and Katie’s family members. Except for the map and pens. That was store bought ;p

Anyhow, I digress. I actually don’t know how to continue, so many lil stories to share from the day. Like how Ed’s Dad was the one who made the heart-shaped tins cans, or how Katie’s Dad had a small accident a week or so prior to the wedding but was able to walk her down the aisle with his crutches, or how sunset was only at 10pm and I shamelessly got Ed & Katie to leave their party for a bit to go outside for portraits or how much love and effort everyone put in to make the day a success, and it was. A success and more!

Ed and Katie, it’s been nearly a year since that day but I still recall how I felt shooting the whole festivities. Seeing how happy you two were on that day, being able to celebrate your union with your loved ones, really appreciating each and every moment of it, made me wish that this feeling will be with you for the rest of your life – the realisation that you have married your best friend and that you’ll have someone to annoy the shit out of for the rest of your life ;p

Wishing you both (an early ;p) happy 1st wedding anniversary and here’s to many many more joyous years ahead filled with much great adventures!

Much Love. xx
