It has been such an awesome experience working with Charles and Yee Siew throughout their wedding celebrations. We started off with their bridal portraits a couple of months ago, followed by the traditional tea ceremony end of last year and wrapped up with their wedding reception a couple of weeks ago!
Charles and Yee Siew, words can’t express how grateful I am to have the pleasure of working with couples like you. Instead of just a vendor, you treated me like a friend and reminded me just how blessed I am to do what I do! All the best with the rest of your home reno now that the wedding celebrations are done ;p
I’ll be waiting for that phone call about a maternity session… #hurhurhur
Much love x
When I first met these two lovebirds, my initial thought was “What? You want boring ol’ me to shoot your wedding?”. Even though I didn’t know then that Hanie is an acclaimed blogger and Nasri is an awesome cinematographer, I could already tell that this young couple was cool.
So when they got back to me and wanted to confirm my services, I felt like I was part of the ‘cool kids’ club, something I had never experienced before. It actually made me feel like calling all the cool people in high school who snubbed the weird teenage me and say “Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyehhh”. Just for a short while of course :p
One must admit, shooting a wedding like this would’ve been nerve wrecking for some and I initially thought it would be so. But the day came and Hanie and Nasri were the absolute dream couple. They were absolutely chilled out and enjoyed the day as it came along, with their family members and close friends in attendance to celebrate with them.
Matthew assisted me on this shoot and when he said that I always get the most fun couples to work with, I couldn’t help but to agree whole heartedly with him. Photogenic and fun couple, beautiful settings, accommodating family members, smooth programme – what more could one ask for? Here are some of my favourite shots from the celebrations :)
Hanie and Nasri, thanks again for having us shoot the festivities. It was definitely a memorable occassion and I do hope that in years to come, you two will look back on the photos with fond memories :) Thanks again for being you and here’s to a lifetime of mutual understanding, great travels, big love and yummy home cooking!
From the very moment I received their enquiry email, I thought to myself “They sound like a fun couple!”. And they proved me right ;) Darren and Ping are definitely a fun-loving couple, who are not shy about showing their affection for each other. And this made my job oh so much easier! These two lovebirds flew into Kota Kinabalu to have their bridal portraits taken and we had such a great time that it didn’t feel like work at all for me.
We also had another session in Kuala Lumpur but I’m gonna save those pictures for another day to be shared together with some photos from their carnival-themed wedding celebration :D For now, here are some of my favourite shots from their bridal portraits in my gorgeous hometown of Kota Kinabalu.
Darren and Ping, I know I’ve said this before but thank you again for having me shoot your bridal session and the wedding festivities. Am truly blessed to have met a couple like you both and you know what? I can’t wait til you two get pregnant so that I can force you to hire me for the maternity session! Hope you both had loadsa fun on your Disney-moon vacation! Much love x
