Whoa. Didn’t realise I’ve not worked out in so many days. Decided to head to Celebrity Fitness today instead of Pushmore as I only got off work by 8+. Figured that instead of rushing at Pushmore, which closes at 10pm sharp, CF was a better bet where I could really focus instead of going at it like a headless chicken.
Warmed up with a 5min run on the treadmill and proceeded with;
- Deadlifts 10 reps of 60kg, 8 reps of 80kg, 3 reps of 90kg
- 3 sets of 10 DB Curls of 10kg, 20 V-ups, 10 Shoulder press of 8kg
- 3 sets of 10 rear delt raise of 4kg, 10 tricep dips
- 3 sets of glute kickback with 35, 40, 45lbs
Been a long while since I last headed to a globo gym, reckon it’ll be good to mix this up with Crossfit once in awhile. We’ll see.

HI Xuely, it depends on which body part you’re talking about. Can’t really remember what I started off with as I’ve been lifting for more than 6 years but I reckon it’ll be okay to start of with something which you can lift for max 10 – 12 repetitions. If you can lift it for more than that number of repetitions, then it’s too light for you. for me..using 5kg weight was very challenging for me..but when i saw yours…OMG..i was telling myself..wow…kuat nya pompuan nie..well…one day..i will increase the weight..i wanna be fit like you! hahaha…well said…no pain no gain!!!
