My site was nominated for Best Photography Blog!

Welcome to Anna-Rina’s blogsite (yes, it’s a blog AND a website). I’m a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I have had experience covering weddings & portrait sessions not only all over Malaysia but also at overseas locations such as London, Paris, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Bali, Phuket and Krabi. As cliched as this may sound, I feel blessed to have a career that I love with absolute passion as it allows me to meet people from all sorts of background, capturing them at the happiest and most memorable moments of their lives.

Do scroll through the above navigation bar to get more details on the photography services that I provide and check out the below blog posts which showcases some of my favourite photos from recent wedding and lifestyle portrait sessions. Besides that, do check out my Facebook photography page for MORE images from recent shoots.

Feel free to leave a comment and share some love in this lil’ blogosphere of mine. At least I would know I’m not talking to myself ;) Then again, I do that quite often…..I kid, I kiiid. Have an awesome day ahead and thanks again for dropping by!

Laidback Weekend

Well, laidback in terms of working out anyway. Went for Vinyasa 2 on Saturday morning and I struggled through the poses as my legs were feeling tight from the deadlifts on Friday. Definitely need a dosage of yin for a good stretch!

What the?!?!

OMG!! It’s exactly 2 weeks since I last worked out. Like WTF?!!?! That’s a loooooong time of not working out in my books. Even though I brought my running shoes to Sydney, I didn’t exercise one single bit. It was either too cold or I was too busy pigging out. Mmmm..mmmmm. No regrets there. Anyway, woke up this morning and headed over to Pushmore to get my endorphin fix for the day. Briefly warmed up with a few squats and sit ups and jumped into the following workout;

Chelsea – every minute on the minute for 30 mins do;
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 squats
Results: 5 rounds + 5 pull ups (CTB)
By round 4 I was already thinking to myself “This is what you get for slacking off for 2 weeks. But NO REGRETS for I got to nom nom my heart out. wOOt!”. Then at round 5, I just thought, “*bleep* this *bleep*, I’m takin’ a break”. Well 5 rounds was exactly what I aimed for and it was what I did. So I won’t beat myself up for it. Well, not too much anyway :p

100 Deadlifts @Bodyweight for Time
Results: 19:03 (55kg)
Did additional 4kg above my bodyweight and had fun doing this workout for deadlifts are one of my fave weight exercises. True, I was grunting like a caveman towards the last 30 reps but its a great workout nevertheless. Lets see how sore my muscles will be tomm.

Duo

Managed to get 7.5 hours of sleep last night. And that was epic! Forced myself to continue sleeping even though I woke up after 5 hours. Felt good to be able to put in more hours of sleep. Wheeee! Aim to make this a regular thing :D

Moving on to today’s workout, didn’t do the one ‘prescribed’ by Pushmore but did workouts from last Friday and Saturday. Had double shots of caffeine prior to heading to the gym, think that’s what was driving me throughout :p That being said, am feeling the DOMS on my lower back from the previous days workouts (deadlifts FTW!)

Three rounds for time of:
30 Medicine Ball Cleans @ 10kg(M)/5kg(W)
30 Push Ups
30 Walking Lunges with a 20kg(M)/15kg(W) Plate Overhead
Results: 28:10
Second round was a killer. My hamstrings were crying out loud for goodness sake! The easiest part of the workout for me was push ups, whenever it was time for the cleans and lunges, my lower body was feeling the brunt. Good workout nevertheless!

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 reps for time of:
Handstand push-ups
L-pull-ups
Results: 23:14
After resting for approximately 15 minutes, I started on the second workout and it was fuuuuun. Ok, so I couldn’t really do head to floor for HSPU, most of the time was halfway through. Not exactly pussy HSPU, but slightly more than halfway so yayyyy! As for the L-pull ups, I did knee ones instead as my abs are not conditioned enough to do L-pull ups. Yet ;)
