I only had the opportunity to meet Amy and Hian Ek a couple of days before the wedding and my first impression was that they were a totally laidback couple and were gonna have a simple affair on the day.

Well, the day came and whilst I knew it was gonna be a relaxed affair, I was pleasantly surprised to see how perfect everything turned out for the newlyweds. Hian Ek was absolutely suave in his gray suit and Amy? Amy was glowing in her gorgeous dress. That seriously was my first thought when I showed up at her place whilst she was getting ready.

Their wedding ceremony was held at one of my favourite churches in Kuala Lumpur, St Andrews Presbyterian Church and their intimate dinner reception was held at Ciao Ristorante. With less than a hundred guests at each event, it gave them plenty of quality time to catch up with family and friends. Love it when couples get to have intimate wedding celebrations!

Amy and Hian Ek, thank you again for having me capture the start of your new journey. It was heart-warming to see the faith and love that you have for each other, something which I’m sure will only grow stronger in the years ahead :)

A couple of months ago, I flew back to Kota Kinabalu to shoot Christine and Bedey’s intimate registration ceremony at the beautiful Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort on Dalit Beach, Tuaran. It actually started to drizzle right before the ceremony begun but luckily for us, the rain clouds soon passed and we had gorgeous weather for the rest of the evening.

Christine and Bedey’s registration ceremony was held at the wedding pavilion area by the beach and the celebration was continued late into the night with a merry reception held at the ballroom of the resort. I had initially wanted to include some shots from that part of the day as well but it proved to be a bit of a task as there were so many shots which I liked! Finally decided on just sharing some from the registration ceremony :)

Christine and Bedey, thanks again for having me shoot the whole festivities. It was indeed a pleasure and an honour to have been part of it. Wishing you two all the best with this new journey!
