My site was nominated for Best Photography Blog!

Welcome to Anna-Rina’s blogsite (yes, it’s a blog AND a website). I’m a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I have had experience covering weddings & portrait sessions not only all over Malaysia but also at overseas locations such as London, Paris, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Bali, Phuket and Krabi. As cliched as this may sound, I feel blessed to have a career that I love with absolute passion as it allows me to meet people from all sorts of background, capturing them at the happiest and most memorable moments of their lives.

Do scroll through the above navigation bar to get more details on the photography services that I provide and check out the below blog posts which showcases some of my favourite photos from recent wedding and lifestyle portrait sessions. Besides that, do check out my Facebook photography page for MORE images from recent shoots.

Feel free to leave a comment and share some love in this lil’ blogosphere of mine. At least I would know I’m not talking to myself ;) Then again, I do that quite often…..I kid, I kiiid. Have an awesome day ahead and thanks again for dropping by!

Sharmilla & Ram

Sharmilla and I have been corresponding since January this year, when she wrote to me to enquire about a portrait session with her fiance Ram, something that they wanted done a month before their wedding day in October. As she shared bits and pieces of her life with me via her emails, she also mentioned that she and Ram were somewhat camera shy. I thought to myself “Bring on the challenge!”.

The day came and I was pleasantly surprised as to how their ‘camera shy-ness’ translated into images that celebrated love. Well, for me anyway. Camera shy? That was absolute BS actually. Sharmilla and Ram were a breeze to shoot!

The fact that they’ve been friends for aaaaaaaaa…aaaaages could be seen through their comfortable body language, the bashful looks that Ram gave Sharmilla whenever she teased him, the radiance of both their smiles (which actually made me feel a bit self conscious about my crooked teeth :p), their infectious laughter, all that and more blew me away. Not literally of course ;)

I had so much fun shooting these images that while editing them, I thought to myself how blessed I am to be able to meet couples like Sharmilla and Ram, couples who shared a part of their day and reminded me what it is like to be in love.

Yes, I am cheesy. But come on, admit it people, we all like a lil bit of cheese in our lives once in awhile :D

Sharmilla and Ram, I had fuuuuuun hanging out with you two that day! You were both so so natural in front of the lens, it seemed that you do photoshoots regularly ;p Hope you had heaps of fun during your wedding day recently. Here’s to a marriage filled with mutual understanding, shared goals, laughter and much love!

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity ~ Carl Jung

Will & Natalie

When couples ask me to suggest a destination for pre-wedding sessions, Kota Kinabalu always comes to mind. With the beaches barely 10 minutes away from town and the mountain an hour plus away, it’s definitely a convenient location which offers diverse, gorgeous backdrops in the great outdoors.

So I was more than happy to oblige when Will and Natalie decided to have their pre-wedding in KK as it gave me the opportunity to share with them the beauty of my hometown :) We actually got rained out in the afternoon but were blessed with awesome weather for the morning part of the session.

Here are some of favourite images from the day.

Will and Natalie, thanks again for having me shoot your pre-wedding pictures. It was a pleasure hanging out with you two on the day. It ain’t easy posing for half a day in bridal attire but you two were absolute troopers! I do hope that you get an opportunity to head over to KK again for a proper holiday next time round. Perhaps for a mini-honeymoon after your reception? ;) Have a good one!
