2011′s First Family Session :D

Portraits

Recently, I had the pleasure of shooting Razvana’s family portrait at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. This super cute Norwegian family of three were in town on their Malaysia tour, with stops in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi. It also coincided with their baby daughter’s first birthday, so imagine that! Celebrating a first birthday with a trip to an exotic country!

Whilst editing their bunch of pictures, I was just smiling to myself as their baby daughter is just adorable! Like her Daddy said, people just stop and comment on how cute she is whenever they see her – “It’s like the world just stops for that couple of minutes”. And let me tell you, I can attest to what he said cos I myself couldn’t stop gushing over how cuteeeee she was :D

Check out some of my favourite shots of their family if you don’t believe what I’m sayin! Happy Friday friends :D

Links to your subsites are horribly slow!!
Before I call a photographer, I’d like to see as much of their work as possible .
Doesn’t waste my time, doesn’t waste the photog’s time.

Jak Tim & Su Ann

Portraits

Come April, Jak Tim and Su Ann would’ve been together for 10 years. 10 years of love, laughter and great times together. I had the pleasure of hanging out with them not only for the pre-wedding session a couple of months ago but also the honour of documenting their tea ceremony and reception which was held last weekend.

More to come in the next couple of weeks once I get down to working on the tea ceremony and reception pictures. For now, here are some of my faves from their pre-wedding session :)

Su Ann & Jak Tim, congratulations again on your nuptials and I know I’ve said this before, but thank you again for opening up your life to me and sharing your stories and treating me like a friend instead of merely a vendor. Couples like you remind me why I love what I do :) Much appreciation.

  1. Su Ann says:

We would not have wanted to share these moments & special occasions with any other photographer but you. You captured some of the most amazing shots/ expressions – laughter, smirks, smiles, cheesy grins, etc. I love what you did with the Tea Ceremony shots too.. Can’t wait to see that and the Dinner ones. Big hugs!

  2. lez ann says:

you’re an amazing photographer.. only beautiful hearts will know how to capture wonderful moments like these .. it’s very inspiring. :)

  9. Waau, how beautiful and inspiring photographs. I like them all :)

  10. Inspiring work for a charming couple, you have that skill to make them feel as natural and comfortable in formal dressing and surrounded by a grand decorum as they are during the more intimate relaxed couple session. Very nice work !

  11. Su Ann says:

i love all e sessions Anna has done for us.. including e ones above w me in e yellow/ purple dresses… e tea ceremony n wedding dinner ones were perfectly captured… love them!!

Nadia & Sazman

Weddings

Let me tell you, selecting my favourite photos for Nadia and Sazman’s blogpost was no joke. I mean, who am I kidding if I were to have a blogpost with 60 over images? So I decided to make life easier, have some of my favourite portraits here and the rest of my faves (of the ceremony, the reception, the portraits, the details, et cetera) in their album *click*click* on my Facebook photography page :) Yes call me lazy if you must, but I’d prefer calling it working effectively ;)

Nadia and Sazman’s wedding was actually one of my fave shoots from 2010. Not only cos their celebration was intimate, not only cos the reception had absolutely divine details, not only cos the groom was an absolute trooper despite having shingles on the left side of his face (yes, right before the solemnisation ceremony), not only cos the bride was one of the most fun people I’ve worked with but also cos of how much they enjoyed themselves and how they didn’t mind being cheesy. I likeee! Oh and not forgetting, they were my ten, ten, tennnnnnnn couple. Geddit, geddit? :p

Sazman, its obvious that you love Nadia to pieces. Dude, that poem “Legend of Nadia” was epic! I think if I were to get a copy from you for this blog, it would upp the pressure for all the future grooms out there! And Nadia, I absolutely love how you don’t do things conventionally. And despite your tough exterior, I loveeee how romantic you are. I don’t know whether or not you’re a closet romantic. If you were, well, you now have to come out of it ;p

Thank you you two for being you and for having me be part of the celebrations. Its my wish that more couples get to celebrate their union with intimate ceremonies like yours and here’s to feeling like ‘Somebody Loved’ (absolutely *heart* The Weepies’ lyrics on your fan!) for the rest of your lives :)

Rain turns the sand into mud. Wind turns the trees into bone. Stars turning high up above. You turn me into somebody loved ~ The Weepies
