Truth to be told, I don’t get the opportunity to shoot Indian weddings that often. But whenever I do, I end up shooting a gazillion photos because of all that’s happening. The ceremonies, the rituals, the vibrant colors – all that and more make Indian weddings special for me.
So when I had the opportunity to be part of Ruben and Subha’s wedding ceremonies, I jumped at the chance. And boy oh boy, what an experience it was! Besides covering their wedding ceremony at Kalamandapam Hall and their dinner reception at The Club, I also got to witness the gold melting and mehndi ceremony a few days prior.
Ruben and Subha, seriously? It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the festivities, to hang out with you two, your friends and family members who made me feel so welcome, to witness the next step that you’re taking with your relationship, to see you all dancing the night away, especially your parents :D That was epic!
Thank you again for the honour of shooting your wedding, despite the ‘smoke gets in your eyes’ bits ;p and the many rituals that you went through, you two were absolute troopers! Hope you like the pictures as much as I enjoyed shooting them :)
Here are some of my favourite shots from the day of the wedding ceremony and also the reception :) More can be seen on my photography Facebook page here. Enjoy!
