It was finally THE day!
After months of (online!) preparation, Nathan and Stephanie were about to proclaim their love “for a day, for a lifetime” ;) at Centara Grand Beach Resorts & Villas in Krabi, Thailand. I couldn’t believe it myself, for it was months ago that they contacted me via email about their wedding and it seemed like in the blink of an eye, I was there to capture memories of their nuptials for them.
The ceremony was set for late afternoon right before sunset and it was an absolutely sweet and intimate ceremony celebrated with Nathan and Stephanie’s family and close friends from Sydney. This was by far one of the most intimate weddings I’ve shot and I loved it for the fact that this was a celebration that was shared with the ones who mattered the most to the newlyweds.
The wedding ceremony was held at the Centara’s Royal Villa, one of the resorts’ top notch villas which has, let me quote, “Private entrance lobby and terrace, extensive living and dining room overlooking and with direct access to a private pool (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?). Two undivided guestrooms, one with oversized king bed (master suite) and the other with two queen size beds. Two luxurious bathrooms with separate free standing tub and rainshower (ZOMG!). Outdoor dining and lounging salas, furnished sun terrace and private pantry”.
And before I wrap up my real estate pitch sales (I kid, I kiiiid), you get all of the above up WITH the awesome view below.
Yes, Nathan and Stephanie’s wedding ceremony had the view below as their backdrop. Gorgeous no?
After taking shots of the villa where the wedding ceremony was to be held, I headed down to the suite where Stephanie was getting ready. Lovely dress I tell you!
Hehe…found it funny that the three Thai beauticians were discussing how Stephanie’s hair was to be done.
About to enter the villa…
So was the glowing bride and her Dad :D
And I hereby present to you, Mrs & Mrs Poole. wOOt!
The newlyweds and their wedding guests.
We took some quick portraits at the villa, at the beach and around the resort before Nathan and Stephanie joined their guests for the beachside reception. Here are some of my favourite shots from our session.
Are you two sure you’re not partime models or sumthin’? ‘Cause you two look absolutely smmmmokin’ hot here!

The intimate beach side reception consisted of three tables, a scrumptious 5-course meal, hearty laughs during the speeches amongst others :)
When Nathan was giving his speech, he mentioned how within 6-months of meeting Stephanie, he already knew that she was going to be the one that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Then again, cause she was only 18 back then, he decided to wait six years to make it official ;) Suh-weet!

Some of Nathan & Stephanie’s family and friends. It was nice meeting y’all there! Hope you enjoyed your first trip to Krabi :)

Nathan and Stephanie, thank you again for having me be part of your special day, thank you for laughing at my lame jokes (thank God you understood my Malaysian-Chinese accent!), thank you for treating me like a guest instead of just merely a wedding vendor. Yes, I enjoyed myself that night not only cause of the yummy food but also cause you two are oh so natural in front of the camera! Me camera loves you long-looong ;)
Y’know what? I love the internet for giving me this opportunity to meet an awesome couple like you two. Imagine! Australian couple, married in Thailand with a Malaysian wedding photographer! How global can you get? Wonders never cease eh?
I wish you two nothing but bliss and mutual understanding in the years to come and I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in south of France now. And when you guys wrap up the trip in Paris, give each other a kiss under the Eiffel Tower and remember the cheesiness which came with our portrait sessions ‘kay? “Show me the fire in your eyes!” LOL!
May our paths cross again in the future and who knows, I might swing by Sydney and we could do a family shoot with your future kids. With less cheese of course.
Have fun!
