My site was nominated for Best Photography Blog!

Welcome to Anna-Rina’s blogsite (yes, it’s a blog AND a website). I’m a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I have had experience covering weddings & portrait sessions not only all over Malaysia but also at overseas locations such as London, Paris, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Bali, Phuket and Krabi. As cliched as this may sound, I feel blessed to have a career that I love with absolute passion as it allows me to meet people from all sorts of background, capturing them at the happiest and most memorable moments of their lives.

Do scroll through the above navigation bar to get more details on the photography services that I provide and check out the below blog posts which showcases some of my favourite photos from recent wedding and lifestyle portrait sessions. Besides that, do check out my Facebook photography page for MORE images from recent shoots.

Feel free to leave a comment and share some love in this lil’ blogosphere of mine. At least I would know I’m not talking to myself ;) Then again, I do that quite often…..I kid, I kiiid. Have an awesome day ahead and thanks again for dropping by!

At the Park

Took a short break from editing for a breather at the park;
- Jogged 2.2km in 12 mins break 2 minutes before continuing for another 1km which took approx 7 mins. Yes, extremely slow I know -____-”
- 30 pull ups (chest to bar) to cover for today’s pull up challenge from Pushmore. Broke it down into 5′s and 3′s. Gotta watch out for the alignment of my wrists when doing this.
- 100 sit ups in 3:50

Post workout: A pack of Justea and a can of 100 Plus as well as half a donut :p

Gotta start eating regular hours. Had to rush to meet a client after my workout and by the time I had dinner, I was starving 0.o

“Fran”
21-15-9 of:
Double KB Thrusters @ 20kg
Pull Ups
Results: 12:39 (BB 45lbs, CTB)
The thrusters left me absolutely breathless. Did the pull-ups chest to bar as I had missed two days of the pull-up challenge. Eeeks. After finishing the workout I realised I was supposed to upp my weights, but I think I’ll do that when my shoulders feel stronger :p

WOD 042809
Five rounds for time of:
21 Sumo Deadlift Highpulls @ 32kg
21 Ring Dips
Results: 15:05 (24kg, RD+B)
This workout was fun! But I had to do the ring dips on blue band as my left shoulder still feels sore. I’ll lay off doing shoulder workouts for the next couple of days just to let it rest. Hope it’ll get better by next week >.<

Urgh. Unanchored sit ups suck. Big time.

Nathan & Stephanie: Portraits

I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Nathan and Stephanie before their wedding day as they’re based in Sydney and I, in Kuala Lumpur (d-uh!). So, throughout my journey to Krabi from Kuala Lumpur a day before their wedding ceremony, I had butterflies in my stomach (albeit small butterflies, more like cocoons I guess you could say) – wondering whether or not they would like me in person, whether or not they were ‘cool’, how the venue would be, whether or not they would get my stupid jokes, wondering how open they would to be to having a photographer who likes eating with her mouth wide open, etc.

And you know what? All that worrying was for naught cos when I met them, they blew me away with their laidback Ozzie personality, great hospitality and (yes I’ll sound extremely superficial for saying this but I can’t help it!) drop dead gorgeous looks ;)

Arriving in the afternoon a day before the wedding, we had the opportunity for a quick portrait session off the beach of Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas during sunset. I love having portrait sessions with my couples before their wedding day as this gives us a chance to connect and for them to experience what it’s like to be in front of my lens.

Despite never having done a portrait session before, Nate and Steph were absolute naturals and they rocked the session out with some good lovin’! I had so many favourite shots to choose from but I limited myself for fear of bursting the bandwidth!

So before I bore you away with my endless raving about how great Nate and Steph are, here are some of my fave shots from the session. Enjoy!

Can somebody say HAWT?

The moving deck was a source of amusement (not to mention bane :p) for many

I think Steph looks absolutely gorgeous here. Nate’s not too shabby as well ;)
And check out the heart-shaped leaves! How befitting eh?

Stay tuned for I’ll be blogging pictures from their wedding day soon!
